The best sega system? Well the best system would be the Dreamcast of course, but as far as library size and games people remember?

That would be the Genesis Wink The DC died too young, if it were still around, then maybe it would be ahead of the Genesis.

I agree. I voted for Genny because of how much I enjoyed the system, but I've heard nothing but good things about the Dreamcast; maybe it was just a little ahead of it's time, and didn't get the adequate backing it needed to take off.

I voted for Dreamcast.  I never had a Genesis and I have only good memories with the Dreamcast, so that's my reasoning for choosing it Wink

Genny all the way! Just so many games to choose from. My top 10 list has changed so many times & I'm sure the more games I play...it'll change even more.

I grew up with a Mega Drive and a third of my collection is on that system, so I obviously voted for it.

I only got a Dreamcast the other day and I haven't played many of the games yet. I've been busy reorganising my shelves. I'm not used to the level of graphics. They're better than the PS1 but not as good as the PS2. The Dreamcast was Sega's downfall, which is why I feel it can't be their greatest console.

The Master System had better graphics than the NES, from what I've seen, and it was a good console but the Mega Drive was better.

I've not played a Saturn, so I can't comment on it.

I started off liking the Game Gear but then I came to realise how bad the screen is.

I disagree, The DC was before its time for sure but I think the combo of the 32X, Sega CD and Saturn doomed  Sega.

Damn this is a tough choice but ultimately I chose the Dreamcast.  When them games were sweet and had awesome graphics.  Too bad it was beofre it's time.  The Genesis also had some kick ass games.  I also was thinking about picking the Sega CD.  I'm the only one who probably considered that.  I loved the Sega CD games and the FMV games.

I ultimately chose the Genesis because ultimately it's the only one I ever played for more than four seconds.

Perhaps I worded that wrong. What I meant is it was the console that Sega finally withered away with. It's a good console but public opinion and financial problems crippled Sega.

I voted for Genesis (MegaDrive) you have to look at how long the console lasted on the market as well as how much it managed to achieve, especially with its games catalogue.
