Check out this article on Gamespot about 2K8.  The fantasy draft and three tier system is awesome. Sounds pretty enticing, and may be the one game that forces me to go buy a 360.

The game seems to be shaping up quite well. I agree that the 3 tier system looks impressive. And I like the fact that you're creating your team from the ground up, it sounds like it's going to reward you for drafting a well-balanced team. The analogy they give with having Payton and Barry in the backfield is a good one; you may have 2 of the most dominant rushers of all time, but if you use both your Gold slots on them, you're risking not having a sufficient enough line for them to run behind and/or a decent QB/WR tandem to keep defenses honest. I'm liking everything I'm hearing about this game so far. 

2K8 may not dominate the market, but if it steals ANY Sales away from Madden, then I'm all for it! (stupid NFL-exclusive B.S.!)

And if it sells well, then maybe there will be even more legends coming on board for the 2K9 version. One can only hope. Maybe get Bradshaw, Emmitt Smith, Lynn Swann, and others...

That reminds me, I still haven't gotten my copy of Mutant League Hockey from the ebay auction I won... Great game! Hit the Ice was another classic.

Hit the Ice was great fun.  Pump in an extra quarter in the arcade and get the power drink to demolish your friend.  I haven't ever tried a console version of it however.

ABSOLUTELY!!! But I doubt EA would have the balls to do that since it would actually require them to get creative in a new sports franchise...

We could also use a Next-Gen Road Rash!
