I went to a kit car show today. It was a 90 mile drive, exactly the same distance as the one I went to last month but in the oposite direction. This one was at least twice the size of last month's. I was embarrassed at the last one because I had persuaded my hard up friend to spend £8 on it and it ended up being a bit boring. Today's in Stoneleigh near Birmingham was very entertaining. I've got some pictures of some cars and a video of the Caterham 7 rides.

All the cars were either independent kits or replica kits.

Here's another Lancia replica.

It's a Toyota MR2.  laugh I don't remember the name of the kit because it was from last year and I didn't pay any attention because it's ugly. But it's based on the MR2.

No, it's just in the style of a muscle car. When I said "Based on" I meant to say the kit uses an MR2 as a donor for parts like the engine etc, then the kit changes the body.

Looks like a 68 Ford Mustang. I personally think it looks hot! (not that I am a fan of kit cars)

I think the back half has a nice shape. The front is overdone though and the sides have a few to many ridges.

The Cobra kits are pretty common. I see those a lot around here in the summer months.

They're almost as common as Lotus 7 style cars. Caterham, Robin Hood, Locost, Tiger, Dax, Westfield are just a few off the top of my head who make Lotus 7s. I'm not interested in 7s or Cobras because they're just so common, although Cobras are beautiful cars.

On another forum they had a thread in a car section for special cars they had seen. Someone posted a Cobra and went ballistic saying how rare they are and how lucky he was to see one. I chuckled inside.

A real Cobra is rare. One sold here at the Barret Jackson;s car auction for little over 5 million. It was owned my Carol Shelby.
