Guitar Hero II

Week: 6/4/07-6/10/07
Game: Guitar Hero II
Console: PS2
Year: 2006
RFG ID: U-072-S-13070-A
Publisher: Red Octane
Developer: Harmonix
Genre: Rhythm/Music
Players: 1-2

Game Page Address: http://www.rfgeneration.c...l?ID=U-072-S-13070-A&

This game is really the only game I consistently play any more. Like a crack baby and its addiction, I can't find myself not playing this game. It's just too damn fun. Don't believe me? Well seeing how this game and its other incarnations have a thread going with over 600 replies I'd say it's a good game in the minds of many people. While most video game generation threads fall into obscurity, the Guitar Hero thread lives on, pulsating with every new milestone and announcement to be had. So, yeah, play the game, it's a blast.

den68 kind of bled Guitar Hero II into my psyche, so I picked up the 360 version and am now considering GH I for PS2 as well as GH: Rock the 80's.

Most of us suck too much to play a real one.

Playing a real guitar is not at all the same as playing with the GH controller. I like it because it has songs you can actually play along with instead of just one part if you are playing the guitar by itself. I own a real guitar (a Fender Strat.) and a bass, but I don't really play them that often. I know a few things on them but I like GH better because it is a little easier.

And with that said, off to bed for me. I just got back from a 12 hour drive. I didn't get a lot of sleep this weekend and I drove 12 hours last Thursday. Needless to say I am exhausted. Maybe I'll dream of finally beating Jordan on Expert. >.<

Oh, I have something to ask before I forget. I still have everything for both GH's for PS2 (big box and everything). I submitted about 125 pictures last Wednesday night, and I have a few more to submit. Anyway, I'll try and upload the first GH scans, but would guys also like a picture of the box too?

I prefer the song list on GH I, but they fixed the hammer ons and pull offs in GH II. GH II is also a little harder.

I hate this game. It's one of the few I simply cannot just pick up and be moderately good at and so it sucks.

Same with DDR. Don't tell me how to dance muthafucka, I'll do what I want and I don't care if it means you get more points than me.

It's not the game's fault that you have no sense of rhythm. Tongue

You can always blame the internet. It's still a great scapegoat for anything. Smiley

I still play this all the time. I actually just got my first perfect song on Expert the other day (Heart Shaped Box)...

Still struggling to get everything 5 starred on Expert though. about 8 more songs to go (Not including the bonus tracks)

[EDIT:] I just discovered there is a Nation Wide Tourney Starting this week that I am going to try to enter. If it's alright, Might I post a link (It does have a Guitar Hero Forum on the site) in case others might be interested. Its for all different Difficulty levels.
