I'm really into darker beers, so what I consider a good beer might not be what other people consider good. I also tend to stick to micro or regional breweries, though I can't explain why.
You just have to try around and find which ones you like personally.
The best beer I've ever had comes from Cleveland. (It's about the only good thing to come out of
that city. ;-)) It's not cheap, but it is very, very good.
With summer here, sometimes a nice wheat beer can be good too. Here is my favorite:
I used to drink a Blue Moon every once in a while, but now I can't go back after having the Sunset Wheat.
As far as beers that are available nationally, I like Warsteiner Dunkel, Guinness, most Sam Adams beers, and Hofbrau Dunkel and Spaten if I can find them.
