An image resize mod has just been installed to the board.  Now, whenever you upload an enormous image and can't remove it, or want to post a large image you found on the web but don't feel like downloading, resizing, and re-uploading, the board will do it for you automatically.  Image limits are set as follows:

Max Image Size
Width: 700 pixels
Height: None

Max Signature Image Size
Width: 450 pixels
Height: 65 pixels

Max Attachment Image Size
Width: 700 pixels
Height: None

Max Userpic Image Size
Width: 110 pixels
Height: 110 pixels

You can also set alignment, height, and width of the images you post.  To set these, apply height and width in a similar fashion to HTML image tags, like so:

Quote

{img width=200 height=275 align=right}http://www.rfgeneration.com/right.gif{/img}

Of course, width and height settings can be altered accordingly, up to the maximum limits.  If you only set one of them, the aspect ratio of your image will be preserved.  Alignment can be left, center, right, top, texttop, middle, absmiddle, baseline, bottom, or absbottom. (Be sure to use the usual [ and ] brackets for those tags - the { and } were just used to allow YaBB to display that example as text.)

This mod also supports the alt option.  If you know what that is in HTML, you'll see how to use this quite easily.  If you have no idea what this is, don't worry about it.  It's not that important anyway.  All the good stuff has been described above.

Hopefully this makes the forum a little bit easier to view, especially for those with lower screen resolutions.  If anyone has problems with the max width/height settings, or have other questions about this mod, give me a holler.

Nice one.  Although you might want to change the width to 800, seeing how many images have the 800x600 format.

I put it at 700 because I know there are some people here (Laurel) that still run their PC's in 800x600.
