Tomb Raider Tongue I think I was 12 when I first played it and the T-Rex storming out of the shadows nearly gave me a heart attack. After that I had trouble playing scary games.

From the list I would probably say Silent Hill.

that damn piano in Boo's Haunt on Mario 64.

I knew there was a red coin under there, but I didn't expect it to come chomping at me, let alone something in a Mario game to scare me so much.

I'll have to go Silent Hill, only because of the 1st one, back when I played it was pretty damn scary all alone at night. So was Resident Evil 2 when I was that yong, but I don't know, the fear of Silent Hill stuck with me more... maybe because to school reminded me of mine haha.

Obscure was another nice 'n' scary one.

Shit, Fatal Frame is scary as hell.  The eerie music and them damn ghosts jumping out at you.  It actually scared me.  Resident Evil and Silent Hill, though, had there moments.

I went with RE since it is the only one I have played. Those damn dogs in the first game scared the crap out of me.

RE

Dino Crisis had some jumpy moments.

I think the most frightened i have ever been while playing a game though was Yoshi's Island. I was totally freaked out at the end when bowser got big and i thought i died but i hit him the last time before i fell all the way down one of the many pits of doom.

RE from the list.

The Thief series from elsewhere...

*shudder* Thief 1 was going along smooth and all realistic like when BAM! Walking through a mine all of a sudden Skeletons start rocketing to their feet and chasing me about.

They're all generally creepy. You're super concentrated on keeping a low profile and sneaking and staying in the shadows and the developers decided to hide some scary stuff in those shadows.

From the list, I said Clock Tower.  It's made me jump a number of times, but I normally don't play scary games, so take that one vote with a grain of salt...

I was most scared by the bathtub clip in Eternal Darkness for the Gamecube.  I think it's the most startling, scary scene I've ever seen in my life, and the most frightening game I think I've ever played period.  And I've played the Teletubbies game for the PS1! (My nephew rented it, don't judge me. :-P lol)

Fatal Frame for me.  Something about seeing a woman with a broken back crawling after you on all fours just creeped the hell out of me.  Silent Hill had it's moments in the first game when your in the mall and the TVs with the main charcter's daughter or at the begining when all the dead babies with cleavers start chasing you.  Even so, Fatal Frame as a series tends to deliver more scary moments then later Silent Hill games.

Silent Hill.

But I'll throw in an honorable mention for Condemned: Criminal Origins.
