Well everyone else is doing it. From major sites like 1up, IGN and others to other gaming forums similar to our own. So I felt it's time for RF Generation to weigh in on this trend with a few lists of our own. The difference being instead of one combined list, we'd each post our individual favorites. List as many or as few as you wish, and start other threads for other systems if you don't see them. Wink

I'm going to mostly avoid the obvious ones like Sonic.

Empire of Steel (aka Steel Empire)
Dad bought this something like a year after we got the Mega Drive. It's my most played Mega Drive game. It's just easy enough to beat it but can give a challenge on the higher difficulties.

Zero Wing
Underneath the internet bandwagon crap there's actually a decent shootemup.

Bubsy II
Actually, I can't remember if it was the first or second one that I enojyed. One of them was a bit sucky.

Comix Zone
I originally had this as a freebie with a new PC bought ten years ago. It's an interesting and original take on the platformer genre.

Earthworm Jim 2
Maybe not a non-mainstream game but it deserves a mention over the first one.

Kid Chameleon
It's about a rad dude stuck in a VR arcade game. What's not great about 4hat? It's also very colourful.

Marko's Magic Football (aka Marko)
Another colourful game with lots of action on the screen. Interesting concept, using a football as a projectile to flip switches and beat up enemies.

Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure
A reasonably good platformer.

Road Rash 3
This was the best of the series with customisable bikes and a wider variety of weapons.

Subterrania
For some reason I've seen people saying this is a bad game. I really enjoyed it as I don't have many gravity shooters in my collection.
