Need suggestions for my collecting

Hey all,
Before i ask questions ill give you a background. My family was never well to do and they never prioritised video games over other nessecities Anyway i saw the end of the NES, the reign of the SNES and the rise of the N64. I got a N64 myself which started my gaming!

Now i played many games on my 64 and i saw many more on the TV.

I have started my game collection, which will consist of All nintendo games up to 64 (gamecub when prices drop) and Sega master system (cousins got one in 92 )

What i decided was that i would buy many games for the 64, the greatest and the ones i had seen as a child and wondered about.
 For all of the other consoles it would strictly be good and great games only, as im not made of moolah!!

So basically im asking, which games would you reccomend for each console

Also what programs do you use to collect? and how do you store your games? Do you use location's or just shelf em?

I'm never good at suggesting games, I just buy whatever I can when I find them cheap, but I can answer your last questions. 

I use the awesome tools on this website (you really won't find anything better online) and I use Excel, I use it to keep it mainly because I can use it to see the exact number of games for any category I can come up with. 
Make sure you keep track while your collection is small and update it whenever you add games, it is much much easier that way.

I just keep my games on bookshelves. Each is separated by console and sorted alphabetically (at least most them anyway).  Again, keep up with the alphabetization as you add games, it makes it so much easier when you have more games.

yeah haha atm im just buying the cheap games with last minute bids.

I was thinking of using Excel as i dont lend my games out so i wont really benefit from a complex lending system.

Game Collectorz is a lot more nifty tho, cept it has a hefty price tag.

For the NES, I'd grab"

Some of the original Mega Man series (especially part 2)
Either of the first 2 Contra games
Mike Tyson's Punch-out!!!
Super Dodgeball
Any of the Castlevania games
Final Fantasy or the Dragon Warrior games
Kirby's Adventure

I'm a huge fan of pretty much everything Capcom did for the NES, so you may want to start there.

SNES:

Super Metroid
Super Punch-out
Castlevania IV
The Mega Man X series
Final Fantasy II and III
Contra 3

There are a million others as stated before.

Try Collecting the SNES. I feel that it is one of the best systems out there, along with the 2600 and Genesis. The SNES has such a wide variety of games, you can be sure to find what you want.

Some good ones are:
Contra 3 (One of my favorite SNES Games)
Zelda
Any Final Fantasy Game
Arkanoid: Doh It Again (Great Arkanoid Rendition)

Collect what you want, I collect anything, as you can tell from my collection. If you want, you can be random, or collect only CIB SNES games. Taper it to your budget, what you like, and what's available.

Sorry if it's your best option with the location you live but if you're buying these games through online auctions then buy in bulk, not individually. It'll cost you more in the long run and slow your collecting due to funds if that's the route you're using. I'd suggest hunting locally at yard sales, pawn shops, thrift stores and Craigs List. If you must do transactions online you're best off dealing with gaming forums because they have vast resources for buying, selling and trading.

As for storage of your games and systems, it'll grow on you and over time discover what's best in your living conditions/space.

Crystalis (a VERY underrated RPG!)
Strider
Tecmo Super Bowl

SNES:

If you can find Chrono Trigger at a garage sale or flea market for cheap, don't pass it up since it's a very rare game!
