I decided to take some pictures of the pond today, so here are a couple of them.
I wasn't home during schooldays last year because I was at a dorm; as a result I neglected the pond for a whole year and it turned into a mudpool.
This year I'll be staying home so I'll be able to take much better care of the pond. I did a huge clean-up about a month ago. The eco-system has recovered quite well already, and the water is clear again!
There are only goldfish and other cheap fish in the pond at the moment, but I'm planning on buying a few (2-3) tiny koi when it's warm enough in spring. The cheapest koi I can find are €8.50 each, so that's still doable.
Some of the fish - the net is over the pond to prevent leaves falling into it

The pond is raised from the ground which makes it much easier to look at the fish - it's held back by those railway logs
The fish come to my hand but don't dare to touch my finger yet - gotta train them a bit
