But that aside: the game looks ok but I find it hard to become excited about this. The black & white makes it somewhat boring/harder to look at.
Do you think the same thing about that movie, Sin City?

I haven't seen that movie so I don't really know how I feel about it. I have watched a trailer of it to get an idea though and it looks pretty nice.

The difference between both are:

1) Sin City uses a greyscale color palet while MadWorld uses pure black & white, making it (in my opinion) somewhat irritating to look at.

2) Sin City is a movie and MadWorld a game. I only have to sit back and look at a movie yet I have to navigate and actively interact in a game.

So in other words: it doesn't bother me in the movie but it does in this game. Smiley

The artstyle is good but as sirgin said looking too much at black and white only makes your eyes pain.

This game is going to be dripping with awesome sauce. Black, white and after killing a few baddies, red all over. It's an artistic aesthetic that somehow is completely lost on some folks. Too bad. These types of projects really deserve to do well commercially. *coughKiller7cough* It's gotten terrific preview feedback so far. This and House of the Dead Overkill are day one purchases for me.

The art style definitely looks graphic novel-ish and could very well be a great selling point.

I do wonder along with the others about one's own ability to play the game well given that there's so little color.

This is gonna be so much fun. I'm sure the colour scheme will work in the games favour, as  it stands out and navigation really isn't much of a factor for any beat 'em ups.

I thought it was quite excellent, but I expected nothing else.
