I got this cd set today. It's the standard London Calling LP with an extra cd with previously unheard rehearsal sessions including five new songs and a dvd with about 50 minutes of footage.

The London Calling cd on itself is of course brilliant enough to warrant a purchase, but the rest only makes it sweeter. The quality of the rehearsel cd isn't that good, but it's very well listenable. The 5 new songs aren't that great (if they were, they would have made the album, after all), but it's pretty cool to hear new songs from a band that has been broken up for nearly 20 years. It's also nice to hear some rough drafts of songs that did make it on the cd, with different lyrics and somewhat different tunes.

The dvd is good too. It has recycled some footage from other dvd's, even footage that has nothing to do with london calling, but I guess they really had no choice with more audio than video. The coolest part is the home video footage from the recording studio.

In short: BUY THIS CD!

I don't buy it, i think, as I own the album yet on cd and lp, so buying it a third time is a bit too much.

No but there is so many stuff I want to buy. Even the dvd and 5 new tracks won't let me spend another 25 euros on it. Anyway first think I will spent money on is the modification of my Saturn. Just countryswitches and 50/60hz switch.
