Well, I was bored today so I took a road trip. I hit up more stores than I bought stuff from, but these were good enough to take home. Now that my new flooring is done I'm slowly unpacking my collection and have it set up in an all new arrangement, its by no means final and right now is mostly a work of putting things where its convenient for them to be right now.

First stop was Vintage Stock. I came here hoping to find some more cheap Saturn sports game to use for case replacements. They had some complete 3DO games, but only 1 Saturn game! It was Galactic Attack, and it was at full price, AND had a broken hinge. It wasn't a total bust though. I've never seen a copy of ChoroQ in person before today, and now its mine. Vandal Hearts II needs a case replacement, but I have plenty of extra PS1 cases lying around.

Next was a CD Tradepost. I went to 3 of these today, one was closing down and the entire store was on clearance, but all the games had already been moved offsite. The downtown store was where I got these next two games. Whenever I go out of town I'm more likely to pay closer attention to systems that are harder to find where I normally hunt, and I haven't bought any DC games in a long time, and with a ton of store credit I can still get a few more goodies if they come in locally.

On my way back I took a detour for lunch and some more hunting. I went to an old favorite thrift store. First, I have to say this. Every single game store I went to had a copy of Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories. Every one of them. So I find another copy at this thrift store, and its by far the best price of the day. Ecco's complete, and the manual and cart are in fantastic shape. More books too. I spent over a year hunting down The Halfling's Gem and now I have two copies. I like the font of this cover better than the one I used for reading.

Last stop was the game store. They had a copy of Demon's Crest there, but I wasn't about to drop $100 on it. After making a couple trips around the store I decided that since my goal to get more Saturn cases was a bust I might as well fill in some holes in my Atlus subsets. So, in the end, Atlus won today.

@Addicted: Amazing Duo score there. I'd like to get more for that system at some point.

Got this bad boy today at half price books. Clearly, they mispriced it. The label looks rough in the photo, but it's actually just residue from an old sticker and not actual damage to the label. I should be able to clean it up.

^awesome!

I couldn't believe it. I've found them to misprice boxed items a few times at the cart only price or something (like my cib super bowling on n64 for 30.00), but I don't generally see them gaffe like this on a cart. Also was surprised to see that it had been on the shelf for a couple of days without getting snagged.

Hey now...

BABY #2 in SEPTEMBER!! YAY!!!

Wow, God must really hate you. But I've got your back: I'm gonna hunt down the filthy animal responsible for this outrage. And when I get my hands on him, I'm gonna make him wish he was never conceived. Nobody-- BUT NOBODY!-- does that to my RF Gen buddies and/or their significant others and gets away with it!!!

Meanwhile:

Hey all! Got a package from or very own Mr. Zagnorch - we did a trade and this is the first part of the trade while the rest we waiting on...a while back I inquired about one wavebird controller and then he said why now two haha...then the deal went from there.  THEN of course in Zag fashion he threw in some extras like he said he would (I really think he's trying to get me on Skylanders haha)  SO I got a set I am guessing of Mega Blocks (won't let my brother know haha ---he's lego fan) set of Skylanders which is awesome! then a Chinese Bootleg of Poke Red (this cart is heavy!) and another surprise because I don't have one is a Timex Sinclair 1000!! Thanks so much Zag!! Can't wait to get the other goodies and more goodies from ya!!

ALSO Got my first Pico Game - Berenstain Bears - SO Now time to find a system - Boxed Preferred!

I threw all the fake legos in there loose so they'd rattle around and make a racket when the package moved around. I hope it made the handlers worry that they might have broken something in there.  Grin

ANYway, here's my end of the trade:

Let's see now...

- Prima/GameShark code book

- Manuals for the first two NES Zelda games

- Jordan vs. Bird NES cart

- Sonic Chaos and Sonic Triple Trouble game manuals

- PS1 interactive demo CD, vol. 3

- ColecoVision Expansion Module #1

- CIB Microcosm for Sega CD

- Tombstone City 21st Century, Parsec, and Hunt the Wumpus TI-99/4A carts with manuals

- Enduro and Fantastic Voyage carts for Atari 2600

- BASIC Computing Language and Star Raiders carts for Atari 8-bit

- Kickman cart for C64

Big thanks, good sir. Glad to see you're still a nice guy.

On to my usual stack of (mostly) thrift finds:

- Xbox 360 remote, $2.99

- Sealed Nyko rechargeable battery pack with charger, $1.59

- RealFlight R/C Simulator controller

- CIB Avenger controller enhancer thingy, $5.99: Let's take a closer look at this, shall we?

Whoah... looks like something you'd see hanging from a wall rack of, er, special tools in some pervert's S&M dungeon.

I think this is an official accessory for the 50 Shades of Grey movie tie-in game.

Resistance is futile... you will be assimilated.

All right, what else is there...

- Prima LoZ Skyward Sword guide, $2.99: I finally have one with the poster still attached.

- Sealed Final Fantasy Chronicles for PS1, $4.99

- CIB MechWarrior 2: Lone Wolf Ltd. Ed and Star Wars Battlefront II for XBox, $4.99 each

- CIB Kya, $4.99

- LoZ Ocarina of Time and SanFran Rush 2049 N64 carts, $3.99 each

- CIB Professor Layton and the Curious Village for DS, $3.99

I grabbed some new stuff as well:

- Sonic & Mega Man Amiibo figures: gettin' team blue together for... something. I find Mega Man looks less like a "man" and more like a toddler dressed in Mega Man cosplay designed and made by his ubergeekin' dad, reluctantly posing for pictures being taken by throngs of freaks and weirdos at a con somewhere. And you can bet your @ss that dad is dressed as Dr. Light...

You know what I'm talking about, don't you, CRABMASTER2000?!

- I also grabbed a TRU-exclusive Swap Force earth trap with Red Hot Tussle Sprout, which I got for just $1 with the purchase of a water trap.

- CIB Destruction Derby for PS1, $3.99

- GBA cart four-pack featuring Ice Climber, $9.99 $4.99

Aaaaand finally...

- Final Fantasy IV Advance box and "guts," $2.99 $0.00: When I found this on the game shelf at the local Savers, I thought it was too good to be true. And, sure enough, it was: some dirtbag came around before me, and ganked the game out of the box. Probably the same jerkoff who did Bil wrong, too...

ANYway, I grabbed the box regardless, figuring that even without the game it was worth the $2.99 price tag. A few moments later I bumped into the lady who stocks the store's media section, and let her know what had happened. I also told her I was gonna buy the box even though it didn't have the game in it.  She responded with, "just go ahead and take it."

After clearing it with the floor manager-- who is a pretty savvy gamer himself-- I now have a FF-IV Advance box and inserts awaiting completion.

All right, back to you.

I've had the opportunity to play all of those except Quik. Quik looks like Oscar with a sprite swap judging by the front cover.

Hey all..again haha I found out I have saved quite a bit more than I thought I did so I decided to do some running around today and got quite a bit of stuff and hardly spent any money as I got some great deals.  Most of the games still have their price stickers but I got them for far less than what they are priced for.  The only thing I played full price for is Mario Part 10 with Mario Amibo - But it will be staying sealed like most of my "Collector's Editions".

-Yogi Bear Great Balloon Blast - GBC
-Prince of Persia Two Thrones - Gamecube

Seeing your Mario Party 10 reminds me that I forgot to pick mine up today.  Enjoy Turtles Smash Up, I've had some fun with that one.
