What's the going rate for Sunset Riders? That would be a fun shooter to throw into the mix.

Do a Konami and Compile shooter month, and let folks mix and match. That covers a huge range of consoles, and a wide range of prices.

Holy cow! The price shop shot way up!

Oh well, at least we have Gunman Clive. Only $2 on Steam. Wink It's basically the same game, just not 16-bit.

the only problem with just picking a developer/publisher and say "play shooters from them" is that it kind of takes away from the community aspect. if everyone is playing the same games then we're more likely to get some good discussion, otherwise it would just be everyone trying to sell (or hate on) their game to others.

i do like the idea of doing multiple in the month of course, just keeping some sense of structure would be better.

Again, you can't run a high score competition by mixing and matching shooters. One game per week will be the format.

NES - Zanac
SMS - Astro Warrior
360 - Otomedius Excellent
SNES - Gradius III

Also, if no one has mentioned it yet for the future: Metal Gear (NES) and Metal Gear Solid (PS/GCN)

Gradius games have been ported several times as well, I can name at least five different systems they have been ported to. Those would likely get a ton of people involved.

I am pretty sure MSG has been mentioned, and would be even more fun given the Suikoden saves on most of our memory cards. Wink

I think it's been mentioned before. What do you mean about the Suikoden saves?

If you have saves from other Konami titles on your memory card during your battle with one of the bosses in MSG, the boss will "Read your mind", telling you what you have played before. He also takes over your controller and makes it "move" by his will alone. (It vibrates). It does the same thing on the GCN remake too. Smiley Except it isn't limited to Konami games on the 'Cube. Anything on your memory card is fair game for Psycho mantis and his "Mind Reading". ha ha
