January

17th - Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker - (Wii U)

It's the mini-game from Super Mario 3D World in a more robust package. Simple, unpretentious and fun. It's the type of game to play when you're tired and want to take a break from hardcore or time consuming stuff. Could've been more challenging though. 8/10

25th - Resident Evil Remake (Jill) - (PSN)

Holds really well to this day and is better than the recent Resident Evil Games. The pseudo HD visuals were not enough to prevent it to starting showing its age in some areas, but it's still a beautiful game. 9/10

February

1st - Grim Fandango Remastered - (PSN)

One of the most amazing plot and characters cast ever created for a video game in my opinion. Hilarious! However, it has aged a bit, some puzzles are just too hard to figure and it looks about the same it did in 1998. Very little improvement over the original, but it's worth a check for the classic it is. 7/10

March

8th - The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D (3DS)

This is what the N64 version should have been 15 years ago. The fact that you can now advance to any time of the day you want, fixes the pacing problem from the original, making it far more enjoyable. Looks much prettier too 9/10

24th - Resident Evil Revelations 2 (PS4)

Despite how cheap it looks sometimes, it's the best Resident Evil version since the 4th. Very good! Plays similar to recent versions, but the Rambo style shooting sequences are toned down a bit and the puzzle solving is back to give a break from more intense moments. 8/10

May

16th - Alien Isolation (PS4)

Be hunted by the Xenomorph was the most terrifying experience i ever had playing a video game! The film elements were amazingly well translated too. I had a good time, but would have be even better if it was cut about 5 hours shorter to avoid mission fillers 8/10

June

20th - Splatoon (Wii U)

Despite the online multi-player focus (amazing by the way), Splatoon delivers on campaign mode too! It works like a platform/shooter mix with a boss battle at the end of each world. Very enjoyable and interesting, but short. Would love to see this in a big scale in a possible sequel. 9/10

July

10th - Batman: Arkham Knight (PS4)

As good as its predecessors and a great conclusion to the trilogy. The main gameplay feature, the batmobile was well implemented, although a bit overused sometimes (but doesn't hurt the game overall). My biggest complaining is that you need to find all riddler trophies (more than 200)hidden in a big open world to see the real ending (thank god we have youtube). 8/10

October

4th - Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain (PS4)

After a promising prologue, most of time all you do is infiltrate enemies bases to extract people or objects. At first, it's fun, but after countless hours and repetitive missions, ''pain'' is what it gets to finish this game! MGS trademarks such as epic bosses, thrilling sequences, well developed characters and plot, are almost absent here. 6/10

30th - Drill Dozer (GBA)

An unknown Nintendo platformer with dull characters/plot and one of the most irritating soundtracks ever, but is worth for its original and fun gameplay. The drill mechanic is well executed, don't fell forced and is used with creativity during the entire game to solve puzzles and fight enemies. 8/10

December

5th - Rise of the Tomb Raider (XONE)

A great cinematography experience a la Uncharted with lots of explosions, landslides, risky jumps, traps and shooting sequences, with some puzzles now and then to counterbalance. Everything very well done and aggrandized by the beautiful environments and efficient plot. 9/10

1-17 - Dragon Age Inquisition - It was a lot of fun to play through but I'm glad it's over. Over 100 hours put in to this game.

1-27 - Kid Icarus - I finally sat down and beat this game. Not as hard as I originally thought.

2-7 - Call of Duty AW: Finished Campaign and I enjoyed it more than most Call of Duty games.

2-27 - A Link to the Past - Always great to go back to this game.

3-25 - Battlefield Hardline - Finished Campaign - Mediocre at best but I would still try a sequel.

4-2-15 - Sunset Overdrive - It has a slow start but I enjoyed this game.

4-3-15 - Pizza Pop! - Short game but still fund to play.

6-5-15 - Mickey to Minnie Magical Adventure 2 - Another short but fun game.

7-13-15 - Lego Jurassic World - Fun game but can be a bit buggy.

7-17-15 - Batman Arkham Knight - Fun game and there are multiple ways they could take the story.

8-5-15 - Diablo 3 - Fun game but some of the weapon drops can make it a bit one sided. It's hard for enemies to touch me when I'm doing 20k to 30k worth of damage per hit.

10-09-15 - Tiny Toon - Konami's take on SMB3.

10-10-15 - Transformers Devastation - A good game with Bayonetta's combat.

10-29-15 - Castlevania Bloodlines

11-17-15 - Snoopy's Great Adventure

12-16-15 - Just Cause 3 - A buggy but fun game.

121-19-15 - Assasian's Creed Syndicate - A good entry in the series.

Stephen Kick: “The thing about classic games was that they were the first for an entire generation. Successive works are going to be important to individuals and even to groups, but never to a whole generation in the same way.”

I bought Shovel Knight (on Wii U) yesterday morning and played it all day. Beat it with a 56% item collect rate, which I thought was pretty decent for a first run through.

1-1-15: Shovel Knight, Wii U

Kid Icarus 1-10-15, NES

Forgot to post this day-of, but game #3 beat in 2015!

Bayonetta (Wii U port) 1-22-15

Holy cow, that game is hard.  There are some spots I have no idea how anyone could earn a Platinum medal in.  I got the Stone reward in all but 2 chapters - the prologue and the epilogue.

Bayonetta 2, 1-31-15 (Wii U)
Absolutely fantastic game. Any WiiU owner into action games should give this game a try. It's an improvement over the original in most every way.

Mega Man Powered Up, 2-7-15 (PSP)
Been working away at this one slowly, off and on for several months. Dedicated some time to it in the last couple weeks and finally took down Wily.

inFAMOUS 2, 2-8-15 (PS3)
Been working on this one most the last 2-3 weeks. Not sure if I like it better than the first game, but I did feel as though I had better control over the powers this time around, though that could be due in part to having played through the first one and getting the hang of it and then taking on the second game after having a better understanding of the system. I did enjoy the power upgrades.

Donkey Kong, 3-23-15 (Game Boy)
Forgot to post that I've been working on this one, and finally bested the big ape a week ago!  Brilliant game.

It's been a crap year so far, but what can ya do.

Jan. 18 - Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor (XBO) (finished the game, still working on achievements...yes, I'm a whore)
Feb. 2 - Picross 3D (NDS)
Feb. 16 - NARC (NES)
Feb. 16 - Joust (NES)
Mar. 23 - Pooyan (FC)

Pretty sad list, considering I had 13 completions in the first 2 months of 2014.   Oh, and I only count new completions unless it's an ending I haven't got before or something.
