Hey now,

Wait... I'm not Zagnorch! Roll Eyes

Anyway, I was told of some deals in a toy store...

One journey later:

That's right... All of those were £1 each. £10 total. Wink
They'll just be collection pieces.

EDIT: Now there are 10 pending submissions from me. Tongue
EDIT 2: That was fast... they're all approved now!

Hey now,

[...]

Then I realized ... my one year anniversary was coming extremely, uncomfortably close ... I need to act fast ... I need to find a great gift ... So, I figured ... me being an opossum, what should I get my fiance for our first year together ...

(NON GAME RELATED)

I think he'll be getting the "butt" end of my humor this anniversary.

Anyway ... this opossum has things to do and games to play ... have fun  Grin

Damn, you so crazy, Sparkster, you so crazy.

Hey now,

Wait... I'm not Zagnorch! Roll Eyes

I know you aren't, but what am I?

And just when i was about to pack up and ship out your mystery game lot, too... so much for that I guess.

Can't let Father Jack hog all the glory... or me for that matter.

ANYway, while the New Year's Day Goodwill crawl was highly disappointing, the next seven days weren't half-bad thrifting-wise. Allow me to demonstrate:

- Arcade Classics Vol. 1: Asteroids / Missile Command GB cart, $3.39 $2.20: My only vidya-related New Year's Day score.

- Platinum GBA SP, $7.98

- Teal Game Boy Color, $6.59

- CIB Pokemon Pearl Version for DS, $6.14: The local Goodwills are starting to do some weird pricing on their stuff lately.

- SNES with controller, AV cable, AC cable, and Super Mario All-Stars, $12.99 $9.09

- CIB James Cameron's Dark Angel and NanoBreaker for PS2, $2.99 $$2.09 each

- CIB Cleopatra's Fortune for PS1, $3.99 $2.79

- CIB Charge 'N Blast for Dreamcast: picked this up with store credit.

All right, back to y'all...

Noes! I just like to keep things sealed if that's how I got them... Undecided
Does it help at all to know that my mum bought two starter packs? One to open and one to keep sealed.

*Awesome goodies*
I wish I could find consoles that cheap... Sad

Dreamwalker 2 Special Edition and Metal Man Remixed Cool
Released for the ZX Spectrum in 2015 thanks to Kickstarter.

Spoiler (hover to show)
Metal Man Remixed is based of Metal Man Reloaded from 2013 (original from 1997).
It has several improvements and was only available in 100 boxed copies together with a Soundtrack CD and A3 Poster.

Dreamwalker 2 SE is an exclusive version with tweaked gameplay.
It's only available in 50 copies with a sticker sheet and a rolled A4 poster of the box art.

Both of these games really pushes the old ZX Spectrum to new heights Smiley

Dreamwalker was first released on PC/Linux in 2013.

Some nice grabs lately, folks Smiley

Here's what I snagged between 2 Goodwill locations yesterday:

And my take from 2 pawn shops:

A couple nice ones in there. Cool to find the Blockbuster exclusive stuff.

Alright. I have been putting this off for awhile. Back in October, Crabby was my copilot, on a road trip to acquire a coin-op machine. I have alluded to this, as my No.1 favorite/best score for 2015. Some of you know about this already because either A) Some of you saw some pics that Crabby took or B) I have been pm'ing questions to our resident pinball expert singlebanana, in the hopes that I can eventually figure out how to make this thing work!!!

OK. So here it is. My favourite (somewhat bittersweet) score of 2015:

I am happy with this score for what I paid for it (despite the fact that I still haven't got to enjoy playing it yet) because it is in great condition.

Here is a nice shot of the playfield:

True story. I will forever try and remove the glass before transport from now on, because I didn't and it broke! lol

Glad I didn't break the back glass though!:

Well there was another purchase made at the end of 2015, but I didn't arrive into my possession until yesterday. I got a good deal IMHO, especially since it was delivered from 325 miles away!

So here it is. Possibly my favorite score of 2016:

There is electrical tape taped over the bottom of both sides of the CPC top. I haven't peeled the tape off, but I can assume, it's to prevent the CPC art from lifting.

As soon as I could, I put this baby to good use:

Happy that I got to see this twice now:

Once by myself, and once with Crabby and our other buddy Nick, who is helping me with my pinball.

@singlebanana: Thanks! Thanks again to all who took the time to sign it.

@Duke: Congrats! I know that you have been trying to find a decent priced copy for a while.

@EngineerMike: Nice scores! Good luck on repairing your machine. Hopefully it's not too hard or expensive to fix.

There are a lot of amazing scores in here to start off the new year so let's add some more....

Part 2 of the Christmas stuff thanks to gift cards:

It was $5.00 and is sealed... so why not...

I'm ready to try Brutal Legend for the first time...

The library a town over was having a book sale... normally I don't go but I'm glad I did. All the items below cost me $15.50:

I guess it's time to start looking for a 3DS and PS4...

Wow Addicted, that's amazing!  Did they just take the cover art for the PS3 games and throw them in those cases or were they cut at all?  Either way, you can't beat that price.

I've fallen behind in my pictures yet again.  You'd think I could find 15 minutes a week to post them, but somehow I don't get around to it.  Anyways, this I sthe stuff I picked up before Christmas:

This is all stuff I got from Amazon.  It's the usual mix of shelf filler and somewhat decent titles.  Something I found kind of odd is that Bloodrayne DVD I got also has the full version of the first Bloodrayne game for the PC.  I guess they had to find some way to move copies of that pile of shit movie.

These are more used games I got from Walmart.  The games in the middle were $6.88 a piece.  The Epic Mickey games were $4 a piece brand new and the others were $2.  Everything was complete and in pretty nice shape as well.

I got all of these from various stores around town.  Book of Unwritten Tales 2, Brothers and Arcania Complete were all from Best Buy's buy 2 get 1 free sales from a while back.  After GCU I ended up paying right around $9 a piece for all of them.  Halo 5 and Destiney were from Meijer.  They had a buy 1 game, get another for 50% off sale.  They also had an mPerks coupon for $30 of Destiny.  I had them ring up Destiny first and it still took 50% off Halo 5, so I paid $10 for Destiny and $20 for Halo.  Not too shabby.

And finally this is stuff I picked up from thrifts.  This time of the year is rough for thrifts.  I can't wait for spring.

Until next time!
