Hey now,

Time to celebrate Middle-Aged Year's Day by showing off my latest batch of pickups. (This is the first small-scores I'll be posting in the post-Photobucket era, BTW)

First up are several grabs from my fave local used-media store:

- Jaws Unleashed, $0.95: I grabbed this for manual, as my own copy was lacking one. Then I saw how badly scratched up my own copy was, and tossed it out. Hey, speaking of manuals...

- Fullmetal Alchemist and the Broken Angel, $3.95: gonna hafta track down a manual for this one.

- Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition, $0.50: I picked up this one for the 8MB memory card that came with it.

- Deathrow, $1.95

- Bowling, $0.50: yet another generically-titled A1/Agetec PS1 game to cross off my wish list.

- Pikmin, $7.95

- Rainbow Islands Evolution, $1.95

- Bionic Commando remake for PS3, $1.95

- Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom, $0.95

- Starhawk, $1.95

- ICO & Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection, $1.95

CIB Gears of War 2: Limited Edition, $3.95

I also took advantage of the-game-store-that-shall-not-be-named's buy-2-get-1-free promo on used games while renewing my Pro subscription:

[/url]

- Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

- Rodea the Sky Soldier

- Mega Man Legacy Collection

- The Guided Fate Paradox

- Aegis of Earth: Protonovus Assault

- Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time

Until next time...

@Shaggy: Thanks! I never finished Escape from Monkey Island when I first played it and I'm hoping to finish it before the year is done.

@ReddMcKnight: I too have fond memories of King's Quest V. When I was in middle school a friend of mine purchased the game and took all summer to finish it.

I'm starting to get everything in gear for the great gameroom overhaul of 2017. I had some cables come in from monoprice and they gave me RGB for my projector:

I also stopped by the local Half Price Books for clearance items and ended up picking up more than I had anticipated:

These very dusty consoles were picked up for a great price (They were sold without any cables or controllers)

Ok let's try this for the first time without photobucket.  Let me know if you can see the image.

Picked these up for 4 each.

I know Firehouse Rescue isn't the most exciting game to add to the collection, but it's pretty hard to find. $4 is a great price on it. And UN Squadron is just a great game.

My son couldn't understand why I was so excited to get a "toddler's game" as he called it.  I said "well it's not to play, it's for my collection".  And then he said "why would you buy a game if you're not going to play it."

Great finds this week! Got the FFIX art book at Goodwill for 2.99. Picked up Shinobi at Value Village. Went to a locally owned thrift store and found the Strider arcade marquee for 14.99. Shadow Tower was found at a local game store for 26.50.

I was quite amazed to find Shadow Tower at that price as it shows up on eBay for 80.00-100.00 bucks. The game store is usually pretty good on prices, most of the time they are priced a few bucks under average value. Never have I seen such a big markdown there before. The game just came in to the store a couple days ago. Either the game was priced to sell or someone made a mistake. Either way, happy to find this hard to find FromSoftware game. Not sure if I should feel bad or not for getting it at that price.

Thanks! Yeah they had a couple more for the same price. Might go back and get another one. They had a Twin Cobra, Samurai Showdown, World Heroes, and Sly Spy one. I can probably only get one more for now. So, hopefully they are still there tomorrow.

Picked these up at a yard sale for 1.00 each.  The art work on a couple of them have been damaged from setting out all night under a tarp and collected moisture.

I picked these 3 up for a total of 6.50
