@cver2: I think he answers surveys online and uses the points to get gift cards or something like that.

Dang, you are good.  Is there anything that you don't know?  It's also how I got my PS3 and PS4.

@Shaggy: There's a lot I don't know and my wife is always there to remind me.  Wink
I remember you mentioned it when you picked up your Vader/Battlefront PS4 bundle.

I've been a member of one of those online click-to-earn-store-credit services for over 20 years. We're talkin' pre-broadband here, folks; Web 1.0 and all that. I just used some points from that program to buy a few things from Amazon earlier today, which I'll be showing off when they come in... on a different small-scores thread. I'll leave it to your imagination which one I'm talking about.

ANYway, looky what I picked up earlier today:

Let's see what's inside:

I applied a few savings passes to get this all for just under $30 all told.

Here's a closer look:

Aaaaand that's it for now.

Episode 1 Racer is awesome!!

I'm sorry, but anything that ties into the Star Wars prequels in general, and Episode I in particular, is the polar diametric opposite antithesis of "awesome." This is just an objective fact.

And I thought you were such a cool guy, too... I'm very disappointed in you. In fact, I'm so disappointed in you, I've become the personification of the word. In other words:

See what you did? You turned me into a sullen Conan O'Brien... you sick, heartless fiend. I hope you're proud of yourself...

In something that was more of a "hm, that's interesting" than a massive find I found this CIB copy of the Mortal Kombat Deception Premium pack in a junk shop for $8.50 and it even still has the metal trading card.

Always happy to add interesting special editions like this to my PS2 collection.

Although I'm not big on Mortal Kombat myself, yes it is indeed kinda neat to discover special editions at the thrifts and charity shops. BTW it seems like every ten times I find a special-edition game that supposed to include a trading card, nine times it's missing.

Nothing great, but a couple games I didn't have... because it would be silly to buy games I have.

Still Life seems like a really bizarre game to have a console port because it's a third-person point and click.
