Last year was very good to me.  I think I added close to 800 games to my collection.  Here's hoping for more of the same this year

Complete my 32x collection (Just need Spiderman) - Hey, it's my 10 year anniversary at failing at this goal!  Hooray?
800+ PS2 games Completed 5/4
400+ NES games Completed 7/11
400+ 360 games (54 to go)
300+ Wii games Completed 3/3
200+ Gamecube games (31 to go)
150+ DS games Completed 6/15
175+ Super Nintendo games (22 to go)
100+ Gameboy games (52 to go)
365+ Total games purchased Completed 5/26

My last goal is a bit odd.  I want to try to get at least 5 "Cornerstone" games.  You know, those games that are the more expensive or hard to find games for a particular library.  It's kind of a nebulous thing, so I'll just have to kind of play this one by ear.  Does Luigi's Manision count?  It's a decently pricy game and one I've wanted since it came out but is it really collection defining?  Definitions might get kind of messy, but I'll never get tired of the hunt for games like that so it should still be pretty fun. Completed 7/2

My goals for the year are to get at least 60 of the remaining 66 PAL A NES games.

I want to start my next "complete set" then when I've got almost all the NES games. Not sure what console yet but I enjoyed doing this for the NES.

And finally I want to get my first mortgage. And as part of that get a spare room so I can get a proper media room.

My goals for 2016:

1. Get even closer to completing the NA GCN set. Let's say around 550. (455 as of this post)
2. Get an XBone to go with the games I have been accumulating for it.
3. Clear out as much of the bulk in my collection to make more space. (WAY too many steering wheels, dance pads, big box PC games, board games, puzzles, backpacks, storage towers, and spare systems for the small space that I have for it all. If I likely won't ever be able to display them, why do I still keep it all?)
4. Permanently organize and clean my gaming room so I can actually play a lot more of what I own.
5. Play 25% of my collection (I have played like 8% as of this post)
6. Beat 10% of my collection (I have only beaten around 1% so far)

And goals not directly related to collecting or my collection:

1. Participate in at least 4 of the community playthroughs in 2016
2. Make a donation to the site
3. Be a LOT more active on the forums than I was last year.
4. Scan and contribute as much information as I can from my collection to the site.

This is my tenth year with the site. I can't let that kind of tenure just go to waste, can I? Wink

My only hard goal would be to try and get half-way through acquiring the Game Boy library, roughly 255 carts.  I'm already over halfway to that goal, with 166 US carts currently, so if I grabbed 100 carts this year, that would be an easy target to hit.  In terms of overall collecting, it would be fun to hit 1,500 this year.  I'm at just over 1,260 currently, and as often as I score stuff at the pawn shop and Goodwill, this should definitely be easy to achieve.

Soft goals would be things like acquiring either a Turbo Duo or a PCE Duo R, finally getting an Atari Lynx, etc.  I'd also like to beef up my PSP game collection, as I quite like the system, despite the hardware issues with UMD drives.  The pawn shop I go to has a PSP Go I'm eyeing, as well as a boxed Ratchet & Clank PSP 3000 that I might just have to pick up after I get my tax return.  Most of my funds really need to go toward funding an infant adoption, but most of what I'm talking about is pretty small potatoes, so it's doable within my limited means.

Hunh I had no idea the BG library was so... feasable.

Also definitely baby stuff is more important.

IIRC the PSP GO stopped getting PS Store so you'd have to pirate games for it or something. I like 95% certain that I'm correct on this.
