Many.  Plus, 50 should put me over my 2008 goal of 1000 games!

I'm been trying to buy large quantities of cheap, loose NES and complete Genesis games lately. I'm already well over 100 games this year, with 2 large lots coming in the mail right now that will put me close to 200.

As many as I can.  It could be 1, it could be 100.  Depends on how it goes.

As many as I can, not new games though, they're too expensive. (€70 for a PS3 game, Pfffft)

Yesterday I saw the PS3 Platinum games at €27.99. That's already a price I'd be willing to pay if I had a PS3. There were also a couple of non-Platinum games for the same price such as Burnout Paradise and Haze. Hopefully this marks the beginning of prices dropping more and faster for the PS3, because I can't see the point of buying an expensive new console and then having to pay €70/game.

Yeah, I hope so too. The New titles here are usually $54.99 or $59.99, with the occasional $49.99 or $39.99. Platinums are between $19.99 and $49.99, and reduced price nonplatinums are $24.99 - $49.99, with a $19.99 here and there. What gets me is that they (game Stores) sell say... Call of Duty 4, for $49.99 new. Next to it, the have a mint, used, complete coly for $23.49, or $19.99 with MVP. New, or used? USED!!!!

Then you can consider yourself still relatively lucky. (Even though I still wouldn't want to buy games at that price)
New PS3 games sell for €69.99 here, with only a few expensions of €64.99. It's crazy in my opinion. Sad

I have found that in this generation of games, overstocking and bargain bin sales are more prominent for newer games than ever before.

Perhaps it's because we have too many games sitting in stock for our small population, but every retailer right down to grocery stores and pharmacies have loads of new games for dirt cheap and I don't simply mean shovelware either.

Just the other day a local supermarket had a buy 2 for $18, get a 3rd free" sale. I ending up buying a X360 game I had my eye on as well as 3 PS3 games I would buy eventually when I got a PS3. Four new titles for the PS3/X360 for the price of one which while a great deal, is quite common. $2 PSP games new, $9.99 X360/Wii/PS3, $5 PC etc etc. Oddly enough only places like EB seem to be exempt from this trend. I've probably bought over 100 titles for new systems over the last couple of years that were under $20 brand new and I really didn't look that hard nor do I spend a lot of time hunting for games.

That coupled with the currency rate adjustment has dropped the average price of games $10-20 a piece here. It's a fine time to enjoy the hobby that's for sure.
