What gets me is the way the top of Containment looks and how easy it is to get out of, its almost as if it was meant to be done. Anyone else think that makes sense? I mean, look at Coag. When you get to the end of the map you KNOW it's teh end of the map. But Containment looks like it goes on forever (even at the end).

Don't go up there problem solved.

Well, if you're not careful, it looks as though you can get picked off by a turret; I haven't experimented if the turret would reach though.

Also, you're precariously close to the rocket launcher since the top of containment is in the middle of the map.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but of the 4 maps is Sanctuary the only one with a default Sword?

Well Containment can be breached with a spectre as well.

Turf can only be reached by the host of the game and then others can follow with a sword cancel.
You need to have overshields with swords and rockets equiped.

The super jump on Sanctury is hard to explain and I have only done it once :-/

A spectre! Wha? Forgive my nOObness, but I thought those only flew low to the ground?

What's a "sword cancel"?

You can get on top of containment just sword canceling too.

I did it alot easier before i trid to show Scooter Anti and Bearpat.

Sword Canceling is when you get the red lockon you push the trigger and x at the same time thusly canceling your lunge and keeping the energy to burst up into the air or across the ground.

There are no default swords on Turf, Warlock, and Containment, though, right?

nopne of them do to my knowledge.
There is no fair place to put one on Containment (plus i have seen 99.9% if not al of the map)
Warlock is small enough that you can see the whole map from the start practically.
Turf i searched high and low and didn't see one while i was in there.

It's too bad that on Turf you couldn't bust open any doors. I tried melee, grenades, gunfire...nothing will open them.

My brother tried to throw grenades in the trash barrels but after he comitted suicide he realized that the grenade just bounced off.

If all the buildings on Turf were fully acessable that map would have been a massive download. I don't know if it would have worked well with all that space and twists turns and multiple levels.

People say it is a wicked noob weapon but it does take some skill to wield.
Just like any weapon if you don't know how to use it right you will get sidesteped when you lunge, lunged at first or just all together outgunned.

You can always play on a map with no sword or give everyone swords if it ever becomes a problem.

I do suggest you get use to playing with all the weapons Pheonix. It will help you to be able to use them all rather than be good with a select few.

I absolutely agree. You cannot expect specific weapons to be available to you at any given time, so it's best to become proficient with all of them in order to improve your overall game.

I just tend to ask a lot of info-related questions, and lately many have been about the sword in particular.

speaking of this "training", there's really no way to do that without other people on Halo2 is there?

playing campaign doesn't seem to help much.

I've been playing a lot of MOH: Rising Sun multiplayer using bots. It's good practice, I can have 7 bots and myself in a match. I getting pretty good at avoiding hits but it's still a challenge to reach the kill total first because the bots blow each other away fairly quickly.

I wish Halo2 had a feature like that. (yeah I know I could just get Xbox Live)

Sure. I'd love to be in the clan. How does that work? I accepted one from somebody I played a long time ago, but never really participated in it so I've been open to joining a new one.
