Here is a pic of my hockey team. We were missing 2 players from the photo.

P.S. I am the goalie

So that's the infamous dream team? Are you guys going to win another championship this year? I played hockey for one year when I was 5 and I stunk pretty bad. lol.

We play in an Air conditioned building. Actually, it's the best roller hockey facility in the state. Even in a cooled facility, or even when I played ice, I sweat  like crazy!

Well, we started out 4-0 this season, but after a tough loss last week to the number 2 team, and getting my ass kicked last night, we are 4-2. I suspect that we'll win again, but it will be a long hard road.

I thought it was ice... hows that work with roller blades? I'd think they'd grip to much and you'd turn an ankle, especially at goal.

Cap'n: How many games are in a season?

Currently 10. / play-offs
They were thinking of going to 20, but 20 games is a long time for some teams / people to commit to.

I used to play ice, but it got to expensive for me. Roller hockey is very popular now. As far as turning an ankle goes, it's about the same as playing on ice I suppose. The rinks have a special surface (sport court), and I've never had a problem with it in nearly 15 years.

Also, hockey boots have special frames for them, so we dont use regular rollerblades Wink And there are also different wheels for outside and inside.

Naw you have about the same chance on ice. I played roller for many many year and never turned an ankle and I was really good at doing a hockey stop on my roller blades.

That's cool, I bet the boots are pretty rigid.

Back OT... I don't think I've posted these here. The following are some crappy shots taken from my hotel window in Chicago.

There are two parks in that last shot - Grant Park and Millenium Park.

I have been to Chicago three times on business. Too bad I've never had time to do anything fun like go to the parks, the pier or a museum. I have however, had fantastic meals. drool
