The domain Wii. com has been purchased by Nintendo.com according to Nintendojo. Nothing on the site according to the story, it justs forwards you to Nintendo.com.

How unsurprising, Final Fantasy III sold out in Japan in less than 24 hours. What a surprise.

I can't wait to see the sales charts for this week in Japan.

Why do we have like 10 topics about random Wii information?
Could most of them have been consolidated?
I am not really surprised though.
It happened everyother time there was a big ticket thing being released...

Sony are evil with both the PS2 and now the PS3 being backwards compatible your left with 2 systems that might have cost you aot of money sat round doing nothing.
Clever and evil all in one thats Sony.

What if you don't have a PSX or a PS2? What if you don't want to have three systems hooked up at the same time? What if you want to sell your old systems but still play the games?
You can't call backwards compatibility evil. I'd say not supporting backwards compatibility is retarded.
And I hate to sit here sounding like the Sony fanboy but I feel like somebody has to keep this place from turning into Composite Generation.
SONY IS TEH EVILLLLLLLLLLLL BECAUSE THEY HAVE BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY AND USE THE SAME TECHNOLOGY THAT OTHER COMPANIES ARE USING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey now, composite generation was Sony and XBox pointed. If anything, this is anti-Composite Generation.
Backwards compatibility is a good thing. It is an excellent enticement to buy the new system, and it makes Joe Shmoe Gamer happy.

er i was being stupid, Yes backwards compatability is really an excellent thing it means years ago that i could play Master System stuff on my Game Gear and have my PSX chipped but not loose the warrenty on my PS2.
I think the virtual arcade on the Wii will be nice too my point was that yes its a nice thing to have bu it does mean that you will buy the newer system and might have the old one lying around not doing much.
As for selling them thanks good so many people do as that means you can get things alot cheaper but when i buy a system for me (as in new and boxed) i will not get rid of it ever.
