A few weeks back I watched one of the My Little Pony Friendship is Magic episodes and I don't understand it. Why is it popular?

What the fuck is wrong with you?

Actually, I don't get it either. That show is kinda creepy or maybe it's the mental image of grown men watching it that is creepy.

My username is the name of the hero in the book series Warriors (well, the first series, before the authors decided they needed to make a million spin-offs), which is about tribal feral cats, that use the powers of their ancestors or something like that. I used it on the first two forums I joined and it stuck.
Of course, it wasn't until after I quit reading the series that people started to recognize my username.

Oddly enough, I was in a Books-a-Million when I read your post, right in front of this. I had to snap a picture:

The fact that grown men watch it was the reason for me asking that question.

I just don't see the appeal. I read that it's hugely popular, so I wanted to check it out.

WTF is the matter with all of you who assumed i was defending the show?

EDIT
And what the fuck does any of this have to do with peoples usernames?

BECAUSE:
When I was in Jr High I misspelled Shinobi as Shoboni, it's never taken so I just keep using either Shoboni, or Shobonimaster for usernames.

I've mentioned it before, but Shobrony is the next logical step in your moniker's evolution...  Wink

I've been terrorized by this whole fad for the past 3 years at work. I don't want to hear ANY complaints.  grrr grrr
There's actually a music genre called Super Ponybeat I've brought up previously. It's not that bad. It's music from the show, remixed with Eurobeat:

There are other genres of Pony music too, including metal.

Also, from an email I just received, apparently it's not just my studio:

just heard from a friend that is into it that it is because the show is happy and the music is excellent. (The music isn't terrible)

Still don't get it, I was wanting to cut off my ears and stab my eyes out after 5 minutes of watching the show.

Maybe deep down that is how I came up with my profile name..... (see ON topic)

It's only been around since late 2010. How? Do you travel through time to go to work or something. I wanna work there.

Also, I'll just leave this here

Pony culture existed well before the show had a reboot. I never said I had to deal with MLP:FiM for 3 years.
Anyways, back on topic.

I'm just trying to fathom the pit of weird you must work in.

On topic, I also sometimes use the name NikaChameleon, which is one of my old sonic fan-characters.
